How Pricing Works

Constant Product Market Maker (CPMM)

Yogen uses an automated market maker to set prices. There's no order book and no waiting for a counterparty. You can always buy or sell instantly.

Supply and Demand Sets the Price

When lots of people buy Yes, the Yes price goes up and the No price goes down. When people buy No, the opposite happens. Prices always stay between 0 and 1 CC.

Example

If Yes shares are trading at 0.70 CC, the market thinks there's roughly a 70% chance the event will happen. Buy Yes at 0.70 and if you're right, each share pays out 1.00 CC. That's a 0.30 CC profit per share.

Yes Share

Pays 1 CC if the event happens. Price = estimated probability.

No Share

Pays 1 CC if the event doesn't happen. Price = 1 minus Yes price.

What are Canton Credits (CC)?

CC (Canton Credits) is the currency used on Yogen for all trading. Each CC is worth the same as every other CC, and winning shares always resolve to exactly 1 CC. You get CC through your Nightly Wallet on Canton Network.

Is there a fee?

Yogen charges a 2% fee on winnings only. If you don't win, you don't pay. There are no deposit fees, no withdrawal fees, and no trading fees.

Can I sell before the market resolves?

Yes, anytime. You can sell your Yes or No shares at the current market price whenever you want. You're never locked in. If the price has gone up since you bought, you'll pocket the difference.

How are markets resolved?

Yogen uses an oracle system that verifies real-world outcomes from 5 independent sources. Once the result is confirmed, winning shares automatically pay out 1 CC each and losing shares go to zero.
